RED BRIDGE COOKING CLASS HOI AN

To start the good day, our local guide will pick you up at your hotel or homestay in Hoi An and we will have some Vietnamese coffee at Hai Cafe. This is a nice cafe restaurant where we can taste some coffee and enjoy the daily life in Hoi An town.

After that, we will start the Red Bridge cooking class by exploring the Hoi An central market. This is the place where we learn about local daily life and their selling culture, and get some tricks to choose fresh ingredients. Plus, you will have a great chance to interact with the locals here, and practice your bargaining skills as well.

Unlike other Hoi An cooking classes, with the Red Bridge cooking class, we will go by boat. We will take a local boat on the Thu Bon River to reach Red Bridge cooking school. This is exactly what the Hoi An people did in the 16th century when transportation is not common and available like today.

Along the way from Hoi An market to Red Bridge school, you will enjoy nice views of the local life on the river such as the small fishing boats; huge fishing nets, cranes, and the water coconut trees.

After 30 minutes, we will get to the school. A green, fresh and peaceful world will appear in your eyes. Walkthrough the beautiful herb garden, and small monkey bridge to the cooking area. You will be welcomed by friendly and lovely smiles and some drinks.

Take a short break then you will learn the Red Bridge Cooking class recipes. Our local master chef will demonstrate how to cook them in advance then it will be time for you to practice.
