Exploring The Five Lakes’ Natural Beauty
According to the signposts, visitors move from Vong Hai Dai Bach Ma(the summit tower) about 2km more in Bach Ma National Park to reach the 5 lakes. After a short travel time, you will see a charming but equally magnificent picture with clear and poetic lakes.
Lake No.1
The first lake was formed by a stream area that was expanded and bent like a loofah. The lake is several tens of meters long, with the rocks arranged in steps. Plus, alternating colorful pebble blocks in quite beautiful.
The water here flows slowly and is transparent, so you can see through to the bottom. Two dark green water collection tanks under the green forest canopy add to the cold feeling of a water area with the lowest temperature in the Bach Ma mountains forest.
Lake No.2
Crossing the stream, descending step by step along a makeshift ladder made from forest trees plaited into steps about 12m high, you will go to the second lake.
The lake is only a few meters wide but long and twists in the direction of the flow. Especially, the granite blocks have been worn down for millions of years, creating quite large slits and grooves. Hence, the stone’s surface is smooth, in some places shiny black, like a magical mosaic.
Lake No.3
The third lake has a round shape, like a full moon at night. Remarkably, the water gradually deeper into the foot of the waterfall. Also, the top of the water poured from a height of 6m, expanded in the middle and then narrowed, forming a giant, silvery white shining in the sunlight.
Big rocks and pebbles sprawl around the edge of the lake below. The rippling water lapped against the rocky shore, shaking the shadows of the woody ferns growing on the cliffs facing the sun. The lake’s magic is adorned by large rocks, 40-70 cm in diameter, smooth with strange colors and shapes.
Lake No.4
Continue for about 20m to reach the upper shore of the fourth lake. However, to get to the lake, we have to stick to the cliff and follow the steel rope to the lake. Furthermore, the fourth lake has an oval shape. The water was torn into two by large rocks and poured into the lake to form two waterfalls.
In addition, the surface of the lake is always in a state of undulation. Besides, the rocks near the foot of the waterfall are always soaked with the dark green color of a thin layer of moss. Some curving bamboo is hanging down around the shore like a cool roof.
Lake No.5
The last five lakes trail in the journey to explore the Bach Ma National Park is lake No.5. The fifth lake really is a masterpiece of nature, a carving and depiction interwoven between water, rocks, trees and the space of heaven and earth. The lake shore is gray granite rocks with fairly regular sizes, up to 2m high.
Besides, the lake is not wide, and it looks like a short trumpet-shaped soon lying in the middle of the rock. The waterfall falls strongly but according to each stone step, overflowing from the upper step to the lower step and rushing down to the upper part of the “trumpet”. This part is about 2m wide, 3m long, and over 2m deep and swirls deep into the edge of the rock, so it looks very ancient and strange.
The surface water hits the rocks and bounces back, creating ripples that sparkle in the sunlight. Additionally, the lower part is shallower but quite wide and up to 5m long.
Moreover, the water is transparent, and the flow is slow, so you can clearly see each pebble on the bottom of the lake. The Five Lakes Bach Ma waterfall flows over the stone steps and then rushes down, creating a rare and hard-to-find monumental scene.
Conquering Do Quyen Waterfall
In addition to the five lakes, conquering Do Quyen waterfall with 689 wooden ladder steps is a must-do in Bach Ma National Park. 300m high waterfall, flowing day and night in the heart of Bach Ma mountain, is a beautiful masterpiece of nature that you cannot ignore.
From the five lakes trail, you just need to walk a little more so that you can stand on top of the waterfall. Then, you can zoom your eyes out to admire the majestic Bach Ma mountain range.
Moreover, the two sides of the road leading to the waterfall are covered with azalea trees. Every spring, the flowers bloom brilliantly, adding to the charm of the Do Quyen waterfall.
