History Of Da Nang Train Station
With the decree dated December 25, 1898, the French invested 200 million Francs in implementing the Nha Trang – Da Nang – Quang Tri railway construction project. Da Nang Train Station was built and inaugurated in 1902 on the railway line stretching from North to South. In 1906 the Da Nang – Hue route was completed with extraordinary success through the Hai Van pass.
With the decree dated February 22, 1931, the French deployed the construction of a 532 km long railway from Da Nang to Nha Trang, which was started in November 1931. This is the last section of the Trans-Vietnam railway, completed in October 1936.
In the trans-Vietnam railway system, Da Nang’s main station (Gare de Tourane central) was built in 1905 in the city’s heart.
