What To Expect?

On this 3-day journey, you will have a chance to conquer a series of 3 great caves, including Tiger Cave, Over Cave, and Pygmy Cave. In addition to this 7-kilometer cave exploration, there is a wide range of other activities, such as jungle trekking, swimming, camping, and especially abseiling the Kong Collapse.

Tiger Cave

Together with Over Cave and Pygmy Cave, Tiger Cave shows you a gorgeous masterpiece by Mother Nature. Here, your team will trek and scramble a route of 1.6 kilometers through Tiger Cave.

Over Cave

Over Cave is an immense cave with the largest width of 125 meters and the highest height of 80 meters. Also, with the diverse stalactite systems of different shapes, you will be overwhelmed by their uniqueness. For this cave, you will travel a route of 3.2 kilometers.

Pygmy Cave

Pygmy Cave has a proud reputation as the fourth-largest cave in the world. With its grandeur and mysterious atmosphere, you will feel as if you are entering an otherworldly landscape.

Kong Collapse

At a depth of 450 meters, Kong Collapse is among the deepest sinkholes on Earth. Moreover, once you get a chance to visit it, you will see a whole tropical jungle inside this magnificent sinkhole.

Tiger Cave Series Adventure 3 Days 2 Nights Itinerary

Day 1: Phong Nha – 20 Quyet Thang Road – Tiger Cave – Kong Collapse

In the morning

8:00 – 8:30: Our driver picks you up at your place in Phong Nha, together with a tour guide. It takes about 30 minutes to transfer you to the headquarters.

9:00: After you arrive at the headquarters, the tour guide goes through the itinerary, regulations, and safety rules with you.

9:30: On Road 20 Quyet Thang, our private car takes you to the trekking spot. This ride takes about 45 minutes.

10:15: Your Tiger Cave tour starts with a trek through the jungle. This trail’s terrain is rocky, as you will confront a combination of soil pathways and rock passages.

12:30: After the long trek through the jungle, you reach the summit of the wind slope. Here, a tasty lunch is served for you, and you can take a break before the afternoon journey.

In the afternoon

13:00: Then, to continue with the trip, your team hikes up and down the hill for about 2 hours through the tropical jungle of Phong Nha-Ke Bang. This is the final part of your 21-kilometer trek before you turn to cave exploration.

15:00: At this point, your team finally reaches the lower entrance of Tiger Cave Vietnam, also known as Dai A Cave. Here, you get prepared for swimming through the downstream passage of Tiger Cave before getting to the Kong Collapse.

(In case the water level gets higher than usual and becomes dangerous to swim, the guide will turn the path to the top of the cave to get to the Kong Collapse.)

15:30: After everything is ready, you start to discover the first cave of the Tiger Cave Series Adventure. Your team overcomes the entrance to the Tiger Cave by swimming 300 meters in the cave.

16:00: At the end of this path, you reach the Kong sinkhole. This is also your campsite for the first day of this tour.

16:00 – 17:00: It’s time to take some photos and prepare for camping.

17:30: Then you have dinner and spend a night at one of the deepest sinkholes on the planet, Kong Collapse.

21:30: It’s bedtime. You get a good rest before continuing with the second day of the Tiger Cave Series Adventure Discovery.

Day 2: Kong Collapse – Tiger Cave Series Adventure

In the morning

8:00: The team wakes up and has breakfast at Kong Collapse.

9:00: After that, you set off on the journey to Tiger Cave, Over Cave, and Pygmy Cave. You will spend the whole day discovering the beauty of various underground stalactites and stalagmites.

9:00 – 11:00: Firstly, your team explores the upper passage of Tiger Cave. This part requires much climbing over boulders and swimming in underground rivers inside the cave.

11:30: Now you arrive at the Swift exit of Tiger Cave. Then your team treks through the jungle inside the doline between Tiger Cave and Over Cave.

12:00: The team stops at the entrance of Over Cave and has a picnic lunch.

12:30: Then, to continue the Tiger Cave Series Adventure Tour, you come to explore the 3.2-kilometer path of Over Cave. Because this cave is vast and dark, we equip you with flashlights so that you can spend a long time discovering it.

In the afternoon

13:30: Now the team enters the best highlight of the Over Cave – Massive Attack. This is a huge chamber that is 80 meters high and 125 meters wide. You will open your eyes to the stunning stalactites and stalagmites inside. They are formed in diverse, strange shapes that make them fantastic scenery for travelers.

13:30 – 15:00: You spend 1.5 hours wandering around and admiring the Massive Attack. Also, your team takes a hike to the exit of Over Cave and hits the second doline between Over Cave and Pygmy Cave.

15:00 – 15:20: Before beginning your Pygmy Cave exploration, you spend another 20 minutes traversing a large rainforest within the cave.

15:20: Now your journey to discover Pygmy Cave starts by following the safety belt to go along the cliff. This route goes from the back of the cave to the Dinosaur Spike in the middle of the cave.

15:45: When you arrive at the top of the Dinosaur Spike passage in Pygmy Cave, walk a bit more to go through the spike. Then, you swing about 10 meters down the cave and trek to the main entrance of the fourth-largest cave in the world – Pygmy Cave. This is the second stop and campsite of your trip. From here, you can witness the stunning daylight.

16:00: After setting foot at the main entrance of Pygmy Cave, you start to go around and explore it. Both the height and width of this massive cave are 100 meters.

17:00 – 18:00: It’s time for the porter team to prepare the camps and dinner. Meanwhile, you can relax, explore more, or take great pictures of the cave.

18:00: Everyone enjoys dinner and spends time together. You can talk and share your personal experiences or stories with one another. Among the majesty of nature, it is a great time to build your relationships.

21:30: It’s time for a nice sleep.

Day 3: Pygmy Cave – Final Trek To Home

In The Morning

8:00: You wake up, have breakfast, and pack up to leave the campsite. Now you start the half-day trek home.

9:00: First, your team takes a trek out of the Pygmy Cave’s entrance, which leads to different valleys and mountains. Despite being the last day, a long, exciting journey across the jungle awaits you with a terrain full of challenges.

10:30: Now your team hits “Doc Co”, also known as the grass slope. This place is quite slippery and steep. Besides, if it rains, you will have a chance to enjoy some beautiful waterfalls on the hike.

12:00: You stop for a while during the trek to have a small lunch.

In The Afternoon

14:00: After the morning of a long trek, you finally arrive at 20 Quyet Thang Road. Here, you can enjoy a cold drink as a small celebration for finishing the tough trip. Just chill out there until our driver comes to get you back.

15:00: Finally, our driver arrives and transfers you back to the headquarters. At the headquarters, you can take a shower, change your clothes, and return to your place in Phong Nha. And the Tiger Cave Series Adventure 3 Days 2 Nights is over.
