What is the meaning of the name Thuy Bieu?
Thuy Bieu Ward, Hue City today is the merger of two ancient villages, Nguyet Bieu and Luong Quan. Thuy is water, Bieu is a gourd, so it can be roughly understood that Thuy Bieu means Bau Nuoc (The water gourd).
This name comes from the position that Thuy Bieu’s three sides are surrounded by the romantic Perfume River.
